I did a quick search and found no other topics covering this subject. It would be nice to be able to tag albums to help make the search function more powerful. Kinda like how Amazon allows for tagging.
As an example, if someone were just looking for albums from a certain label (like Film Score Monthly, Intrada, Varese Sarabande, etc), or from a special collection (Varese Club, etc). |

I've never understood this "tagging" thing, so it's not as if I, personally, miss it... LOL

Alien, it would allow for a more powerful search so that you could search by more than just album, composer, track or genre.
The reason I thought of it and made a thread is because I would love to search by record label. It would be great to pull up a list of all the Film Score Monthly albums that SST has, or all the Movie Score Media albums. But as I mentioned above it might be cool to search by certain collections too like Varese club discs or Intrada Special Collection, etc.
It would just allow for more options when you search is all.

Well tagging them also with keywords of a particular Theme Day, Like Patriotic or Scary 
Of course I like the idea, but someone should do the tagging of the existing albums, which is a lot of work.

If a mechanism was in place to allow users to tag albums, and then to mark a tag for a check by someone if they don't agree with it, would eliminate a lot of the tagging labor. Of course it would probably mean a lot of labor for Pesa and the other admins to implement the infrastructure required.
