I was wondering if we could put in the events & birthdays a theme day for each national day of the different countries. The idea of this day is to request music from composers or films of this nationality.

The only negative point I see in this idea is that most of the listeners concerned won't be at SST on this day, but it will be a great occasion to discover more of the musical culture of a country.

For the France, the national day is on the 14th of July.
For the other countries, just add a reply to this theme if you're interested.

To be honest, I'm not sure.
Maybe adding some dates of national days to Events & Birthdays module would be enough to let people request "natonal" tracks at their will. I think there is no need to make it official theme days.

Well, that's exactly what I'm asking.
I thought that putting dates in Events & Birthdays means creating a special theme day.

Maybe you are right masked, but i think not everything what can be seen in Events & Birthdays box makes official theme day.

Mmmm.. I think putting in some National Days in the list would be interesting; but more as a "gentle reminder" than an official theme day.
Not that people are forced to keep to any kind of theme anyway... *shrug*

My thought on this is that only a few folks will be able to pick out appropriate tracks for any given day. I think that participation might be on the low side. Still, it's a great way to further explore the playlist.
