You're absolutely right! Where's that 3D rerelease of American Graffiti?

I consider myself a pretty die-hard Star Wars fan, yet I find myself agreeing with NightHawk. I understand updating to new video formats when they come out, but another theatrical re-release. Sheesh.

All the same, I'm sure I'll be shelling out my $12 each to see these in 3D... I think George knows what he's doing.

I stopped keeping up with Star Wars a while ago. In fact, the most recent release I have is the VHS special editions my husband brought to the marriage. I love the movies, I truly do, but constant updating has worn thin. I think, maybe I'll buy the DVDs, but then Spike shows the movies, or I rent them, and I'm good for at least a few months.

I haven't seen a 3D movie since they were solely the province of field trips to the aquarium or amusement parks. I don't like the idea of wearing the mangy glasses, or paying a $4 premium on top of already high ticket prices. I believe that writing makes a good movie, not format, and nothing I've seen lately made me think 3D would have improved it.

I think I'm getting old.

LI - for the most part I agree... I have an astimatism that interferes with my ability to wear the 3-d glasses AND still be able to see... I've only seen a couple in 3D... and for the most part, they weren't gratuitous. So far my favorite in 3D was A Christmas Carol that came out last year with Jim Carrey. 1) I wasn't billed as 3D... at least not like everything else that came out. 2) It was done with 3D in mind (yes Clash of the Titans, I'm slamming you) and (this is is the most important part) 3) instead of things popping out of the screen at me... it actually did the reverse.... starting at the screen, it moved backwards away from me. Much like a stage production.

Just make a good movie... I'll see if it's 3D or not if it's good enough.

I totally agree with what LadyInque said. A film has to be finished one day. Good or not. You can't perpetualy says : "Hey, I might change a bit or two just to see what happens!"
For me, Star Wars will always be the first release he did. All after is purely merchandising.

And for your information, I got eyes problems, so I can't see in 3D Rolling Eyes
