Amazon.com: Chaplin, Charlie: Essential Film Music...
I noticed that there is almost no Music from CHaplin movies on SST.
THis 2-CD-Set is a great compilation of Chaplins musical work. IT#s not the original music CHaplin wrote for the movies, but re-compositions made by Carl Davis.
CD 1 has Suites, put together from the different themes of the movie, such as THE KID, GOLD RUSH, THE GREAT DICTATOR etc. Track 1 and track 14 are "symphonic adventures" with well known themes.
The second disc offers music composed by Carl Davis to the Mutual-shorts.
I think the CD-Set would be a real enrichment for SST and I would be willing to donate it (Gift-certificate), if there are enough lissteners who would like to have the CDs added. _________________ It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I wanted to ask for those scores for some weeks, but didn't find the time to. Thanks Tinkerbelle, it's a yes from me.
Spoiler: I just have to wait now for someone to put 'L'emploi du temps' from Jocelyn Pook and 'L'adversaire' from Angelo Badalamenti to have all my wishes in the forums |

Voted 'yes', excellent suggestion!
masked - How available are those cds in France? I'm pretty sure it's difficult and/or expensive to get them in the US... |

I didn't check. If I got still money after Christmas, I may have a deep look in that direction... _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

OH YES!...full steam ahead on this suggestion, please! The Love melody that Chaplin wrote for The Circus is worth the price of admission. _________________ Den Nacht gebar,
