A Titan’s Ode
(from a mere sock)
Hear ye lads, and hear ye lasses, I have come to spill the truth
about how beloved Jaded spent her days during her youth.
She was born so much I’m certain on Titan, it is a moon
Far away from our homesphere, there she prospered and grew soon
‘nto a lady, very young still but already she was bored,
For Titan had not to offer what her heart as wishes stored.
Every night she stood there wond’ring, staring in the stary sky
What beyond her dome of darkness just between the lights may lie.
Jade got tired from just watching and decided she was through,
Though her home she was drawn from it, into worlds no Titan knew.
With goodbyes and thousand blessings Titans let her take the leave
yet her daughter’s will and wishes filled her parents’ hearts with grief.
All alone began her journey, full of hopes, glad to be free,
Just some radio operator was her only company
He had hitched a ride from “fury” that’s an asteroid near by,
But he dared not speak to Jadey, felt embarrassed and all shy.
So he tried to get in contact with her via streams of sound,
when one day just unexpected a distress call those two found.
“ Help… us please, here speaketh the queen”
Said the lady on the screen
“we need people without spleen,
Who adore the colour green.”
Jade did not dare to deny, that this offer was appealing,
So she smooched fortuna’s cheek in the hope that she was feeling
In the mood for some adventure, that was lying right ahead.
Just that Jade was all confounded, kissing fury’s cheek instead.
What a mess those two awaited on the planet SST,
Was unbearable for Jadey, Queenie greeting them with glee.
“Gosh, it’s time that someone cometh,
Look around you, all is lost,
If not someone takes this button,
And some questionable post”
Jade, all grown-up shook her golden, honey-colored hair and said,
“give me time, Ma’am, I will fix that, I am not the least afraid
Of those dragons, socks and kitties of those knights and nerds and French
Who dance tango and that someone with the cheesy-smelly stench.”
So she said it, rest is legend, she’s “Miss Jade the Emerald”,
Who brought order to the planet that so crazy creatures held.
That’s the legend how we tell it, how our Titan turned to green,
And became a restless servant of our lovely Buyer-Queen
I shall dedicate this paper to our lovely titan Jade,
Hope you do not mind its content and forgive that it was made. |
