Winamp is poor for listening to WMA or Ogg streams. I have been told that display of metadata for WMA and Ogg streams is just a feature that hasn't been implemented. I specifically remember it used to work for Ogg streams, but they decided to de-implement that feature. Gee, I wonder why.

Windows Media Player just isn't good for bookmarking channels.

So, is there a better player out there?

P.S. WMA 10 has made WMA a very relevant audio codec. You can boost quality without having to crank up the bit rate or pay the Europeans big $ for AAC.

VLC is an open source client (and cross platform to boot) that may have the features you want.

(And if you can't install it at work due to not having administrator rights, check out: http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/vlc_portable )
