Dear SST-friends,
I'm proud to announce the broadcast of my first ever recorded radio interview as a composer/conductor on
Tuesday, April 23rd 2013 - 10:00pm (middle european time)
at the radio station "Radio Maria"
Following pieces of mine will be broadcasted as well:
1) "Abschied" ("Farewell") for woodwind trio & string quartet (2009)
2) "conundrum" for 7 violins (2010)
3) In Hora Mortis, Cantata for soprano, baritone, organ & chamber ensemble (2010) - III. Beati mortui
Keep in mind that the interview etc. was done in german, but maybe sometime I'll be able to make a youtube video with english subtitles of it ^^
In case you aren't able to listen to it during its initial broadcast, you can listen to the show on the radios website afterwards |

"Illusions" for 2 flutes and 2 percussionists (2012)
This is a live recording of the premiere performance back in May 2012, I conducted it. Sadly it was sooo incredibly hot in the performing hall and the stupid lights were making so much noise. The piece is going to be performed again this fall at a festival in Vienna, so maybe I'll then have a "better" quality recording of it _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

An article covering my orchestral score on the Austrian Independent-Phantasy Film Nostromo, which also will (hopefully) be soon released here on SST as well

You know what, until it gets (hopefully soon) released here on SST, I'll give you all the opportunity to have a first exclusive listen to it
- - - - - - - -
My first feature film score for the Austrian independent, zero-budget phantasy-dramedy-film "Nostromo" (2013), which will hopefully be released sometime soon in this years fall.
For promotional purposes now you can have an exclusive first listen into my musical contribution to this project
(As one out of 4 composers who worked on this film)

A Promo-CD will be available soon, stay tuned
I'm curious what you all think of it! _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

As some of you may already know, I had the honour and pleasure to reorchestrate James Horner's "Universal Pictures" Fanfare from the 90ies for the HOLLYWOOD IN VIENNA 2013 Gala with the ORF Radiosymphonie Orchester Wien, conducted by David Newman.
2 days before the first orchestral rehearsal was due, the organisers called me and panickly said that no one in Hollywood could find the original scores and notes of it and if I could reorchestrate/reconstruct it for the concert, with a low quality youtube recording being my only reference ^^
Well, long story short, I completed the task and everyone, especially David Newman and - even more special - Mr. James Horner were more than pleased with the final result.
You can listen/watch a TV recorded broadcast of the whole gala here:

(Sadly I don't know how long it will remain online)
If you want to go directly to the Fanfare, it is at timecode 32:02 _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

Congratultions bpe! I watched gala online. Beautiful concert at fantastic venue. Maybe only vocal solos were not exactly to my taste. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
