While the title of this album is slightly misleading in the fact that Harry Connick Jr did not, in fact, sing all the songs in the movie (he only sang two, three if the closing credit medley is taken into account), the songs are indeed from the movie, just by different artists. Hardcore "original soundtrack" buffs may not like the fact that the original artists have been replaced by Connick Jr but, unfortunately, the original artists soundtrack does not exist but, when all is said and done, Connick's talent almost makes up for that. Anyway, I like it, I hope you do, too

Do you have more information you can provide, like samples and/or reviews?

Sorry, I had to figure out how to add samples after posting the original. I think I managed it and have edited the original post |

I don't vote till I know if the songs were made for the film or if it's just another "songs we know from somewhere else"-CD that features songs and not a "score"... At least I wanna be consitent in my decisions _________________ Labwork and scientific experience tell me: Nothing is really foolproof for a sufficiently talented fool.

The movie's soundtrack consists of standards written by George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and others. Songs have been newly arranged and orchestrated by Harry Connick Jr., Marc Shaiman and Thom Sharp. I'm afraid the album doesn't meet Jeric's criteria. |
