Hehe. My guess is that it was turned into a museum after 1976 when the building was likely decommissioned for alternative use and the first candidate was to be a museum Though I could be wrong and there was a surplus on jail signs

Lol...so the jail was turned in to a museum? Or the Jail was built for a movie and thus is now a museum? ...Or they had a spare "County Jail" sign laying around... |

I called the manager of our motel to ask if there was room for one more, Dutch. And she said sure but he would get his own space and it might be a ways from the rest of us, but good low price was available!
Always room for one more my good friend!!!! _________________ A good sound track will let me relive the movie, I can cry over them as well. Hand me the tissues...please.

That house is really down by where we are going. The Pacific Ocean, Long Beach, Is only 14 miles from Astoria. As is a long time fishing port, Illwaco. There is a lot of great history in and around the area. Perhaps one day of movie sites and another off on an ocean adventure.
Here is another site we will have to see. It sits up top of a small hill but oh the view. And you can climb all the way to the top! I will watch ya!
A huge mural of the history of Astoria wraps itself around the tower.

So I wanted to ask everyone since it is about a month till the meetup. Who is coming in Friday an who is coming in Saturday? If Friday what time? (estimated there a bouts) Then for Saturday, when will we all meet in the morning to go out and about? I image the movie set tour will be Saturday. Did anyone else have any other plans/ideas for sat/sun? (will some people just be in the area saturday?)
Just want to get other's ideas and see who will be getting there when Am getting more excited!
Edit: Guess I should also include my info! I'll get in to Astoria early evening on Friday (that includes andres as we are in the same car) _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. Gathering Movie Fans,
I too will need the when you get in data to call and make final room reservations. But I think I have it down pretty much.
Tim and I will be there Friday early for sure! And leave on Monday.
As for tours they are self guided. With us having cars I thought Have maps will travel. So this is a can do any time item.
There are two markets available, One Sat. and one Sunday.
And there is Long Beach! The Sat. open market is by Long Beach, and the Sunday one is in Astoria. It is huge by the way.
I really think it is a must do to go to Long Beach. I will make up a list of why, but mainly to touch your little toes into the Pacific Ocean!
I will be doing a memo by email shortly. so get your arrival data and such ready for the motel reservationist!
See you soon,

I'll be arriving on Delta Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Portland DL179
ETA 11.25
That's about the same time Nova, Siri and Mol arrive at the airport so I'll be driving with them to Astoria.
What's the weatherforecast? _________________
