It's a platformer from a French company (but quite known in Europe & USA) (or so I hope Smile)

Originally I was going to go for Monkey Island but of course that was LucasArts!

It's not Prince of Persia or Another World is it? Not sure who made Another World but I think Ubisoft were involved in Prince of Persia - they're a French company.

Quite close, but that's not the one Smile It's indeed a Square game... called Final Fantasy "Something" in the US but differently in Europe.

Marketing was quite confusing back then and while many games were called Final Fantasy, they were from different series in Japan.
