The voting will take place summer 2011.

Now it is the time to nominate your favorites of 2010

The track must be original released in 2010 and since it is the SST Awards it must be in the library of SST.

Please submit your nomination(s) here. You may nominate as many as you want but not the same entry more than once.

Nominations are open to VIP members, as well as regular members, but final voting will only be open for VIP members. SST staff will select a pool that VIPs will vote for!

Deadline for nominations: June 30th

Next summer? You do mean summer 2011, right? And why so late? When's the deadline for nominations?

Okay, enough questions. I would like to nominate "The Battle/Origins" from Wonder Woman, by Christopher Drake.

In my review of the album, I wrote:
The opening track, “The Battle/Origins” represents the first nine minutes of the movie and is best the album has to offer. As the Amazons battle the evil forces of the god Ares, the score tells the story. There’s excitement, and sadness, and the introduction of the theme for Hippolyta, which truly befits a warrior queen. The end of the track is about hope and new beginnings, and it closes with the first statement of Diana’s (Wonder Woman’s) theme as the heroine is magically born.

Pretty much everyone here knows what a champion I am of this album. I invite you to listen to this track and hear for yourself. There's a 90-second sample at iTunes, which gives you the Amazon's theme and the thick of the battle.

The deck is stacked against this score and track, even in the SST awards. It isn't famous. It isn't moody and minimalist. It's from a movie that was released to video, in lowly 2-D. But it's epic. It does what great music is supposed to do in movies: tell the story and conveys the emotions of a scene in a dimension all its own. And that's why I nominate it.

Thank you!

Yep it is summer 2011

This is done because the Staff members has a lot to do in this period, so for us it is better to do it in the summer, also late additions early this year that are actually soundtracks of 2010 can have a change to be nominated as well

Date is not set yet.

I have updated the original post.

I second the "Flow like Water" - The Last Airbender. It had beautiful layering of descending strings and brass.

"Bull Run" - Knight and Day

Really enjoyed the flamenco guitars, rhythms, brass and fast changes of pace in this track.

"Wolf Suite Part 1" - The Wolfman

Liked the balance between the heavy gothic overtones, chorus, and gypsy influenced strings.

"Dream is Collapsing" - Inception
"Time" - Inception

Loved the guitars and electronic soundscape of this score and track.

"Apocalypse (Theme from the Plan)" - Battlestar Galactice: The Plan and Razor

The otherwordly vocals were quite memorable.

"The Ghost Writer" - The Ghost Writer
"The Truth About Ruth" - The Ghost Writer

The woodwinds and driving ostinatos created this sense of paranoia and mystery that fit the film perfectly.

Excellent one, Jade.

I would like to nominate "A Howling Wilderness / The Death Of Jane Seymour" from The Tudors: Season 3.
It's wonderful the way Trevor Morris incorporates the main theme of The Tudors at the very end of this cue.

I am nominating both Test Drive, and Coming Back Around from Dragon. There aren't too many songs that can put me into a state of pure joy and happiness as these songs do.
And also The Dream is Collapsing from Inception.
These are pretty much the only songs that really stuck out for me that I heard this year.
