Hello there community,

My family and I are going to haunt Chicago during the summer, in the week from the 10th to the 17th of july, give or take a few days.

We're looking for stuff to do there. There is a lot to do, I know, but we have absolutely no idea of what's fun and what's not! So I thought, let's ask SST for help.
Constraints of age are applicable. My sister will be 19 by then (and I'm still 20 by then), so some stuff won't do, since the US has a minimum age of 21 for alcoholic drinks in stead of 16. Many clubs would probably block us out.
Our taste is in the entertainment. A museum has to be quite innovative and interesting to be fun. Shows however, malls, movies, and entertainment parks are nearly always a succes!

Any ideas from someone that knows the place? Very Happy Stuff we have to try?

Arranging a meeting is also plausible for me, but I don't know if the rest of my family would find it equally fun.

Things you can do:

Visit the Willis Tower. You can combine it with a Hop On Hop Off guided bus tour.
Field museum, Adler Planetarium, Navy pier

And of course have a great dinner (ethiopian) with PeteC Wink

Here some pictures I made last year:

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

I don't know how it works in Illinois, but the state in which I grew up allowed underaged people to have alcohol in restaurants if they were with their parents. I would ask the server, though, to be sure. On this topic, though, be careful if you venture into Indiana. Some places, even if they serve food, may be considered bars, and nobody under 18 is allowed in the place.

Other than that, I say you should try Six Flags, if you're tired of just sight-seeing. I hear the Aquarium and art museum are pretty cool, and there is a zoo. You should try to hit the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry (I still need to hit that). Or you could catch a baseball game if one of the teams is at home. Pete would have better suggestions than I.
