Andycutu and I are moving out to Berlin atm, so the Scandinavian, German and Krakow meetings should be feasible next year, depending on the dates.

There is a date for the 1st Asian Meeting:
We will get together in Tokyo, Japan on Aug, 4th
This meeting is to get to know Asian members and celebrate my 50th birthday.
Members who already have agreed to be there:
* Pridelander
* Alchemist (+ wife)
* Dutchbat
Plans for the program:
Meeting in Tokyo for drinks and visit to the large electronics (read CD's) store in the afternoon.
Followed by a dinner for my birthday and ending traditionally in a Karaoke bar.
On Aug,7 we will visit the Ghibli Studio.
I hope more members can make the trip to Tokyo.
This weekend emails will go out to Japan members to join.

I'm still not sure about 7th, but I can join in on 4th.
Which area of Tokyo are you going to have the meeting? Do you have a particular CD store you're planning to visit?
And I guess you meant "visit the Ghibli Museum", not "Studio". I know where the studio is, though!
What's funny is that it'll be my first time to visit a karaoke bar... I'm not much a party person, usually

Apologies if this was said somewhere already: is the November meeting in Cardiff happening in the end? It would be a nice chance for us to catch up with other SSTers and see the DW experience and the city, but I haven't heard anything about this in a while.. |
