This isn't a rant, nor do I want to get into a discussion... I just want to simply offer a suggestion that either SST Lite be fixed finally (it's been "under repairs" for years now) or kill it and get rid of the link. I would love to have it fixed, as the site has become large and slow and generally all I want to see is what just played, what is playing and what's next. And maybe favorite the current playing selection.
Anyways, thought I'd just put that out there. If SST Lite is never going to be fixed, then can we take the link off? Stop teasing me.

I think that the functionality is something we need, particularly with all the tablets/smart phones/etc. However I'm very aware of the resources that we don't have to put toward this effort. My suggestion would be to remove the links and pointers to SSTLite until such time as we're able to put together something useful.

Ok, I know this is a topic that is essentially closed... and I know I've complained about it over the years... and I know it's something that would take some resources to fix.
This time I have an idea, and it's perfectly simple, should only take 5 min to do, including uploading a file.
One of my reasons for having the Lite working was so that I could see what's coming up. Quite often I find myself using the "Site" link, then selecting the Queued/Played menu option. So... I'm wondering ... instead of fixing the "Lite" link from the undocked chat, would it be possible to change it to a "Queue" link instead and it would take the user straight to the Queued/Played page?
Again, it's just and idea. I know I'd find it handy, I don't know about anyone else. If need be, I could start a poll and see if any one else besides me would even use it. |
