Track 12: Will You Be There (Reprise)
"Will You Be There" is a song written and performed by Michael Jackson. Although I don't believe it was the original intention, the song was featured in the closing credits sequence for the 1993 movie "Free Willy." The melody and lyrics compliment the film's tone very well and the song was a big part of the marketing campaign. The official music video included footage from the movie (as you can see for yourself at the end of this post).
Most people who are familiar with the song more frequently refer to it as "the song from Free Willy" instead of its proper title. Because it's so closely associated with the movie and the sound isn't too drastically different from a typical SST cue (IMO), I think the "Will You Be There" reprise deserves a spot in the playlist.
The reason I'm requesting the reprise instead of the opening track is because the other version contains a long monologue that disrupts the song's flow.
