Hello
I also have this Score at home at it gave me the biggest smile when I listened to it the first time.
There are two different versions on Amazon - I can't really tell the difference, but this is the album I have and it's great.
Hope we can add this!

Good Idea, but I'm not sure that many SST-folks will be happy with the songs (there's a bit of a controversy with musical numbers etc.), but I'd add it anyway _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

This is actually one Disney soundtrack I voted 'No' for. Its not one of my favorites, and I've not been a big fan of the circus-themed music. The only song I like is the "Baby Mine" song and that I already have from a compilation album.
This is not a Disney musical, so I hope people realize what they are getting. |

Cool, I just got this one from Amazon to donate! I have been listening to it today and would say only 4 or 5 of the tracks sound overtly like "circus music" – and there isn't all that much singing, either. It is indeed largely instrumental and what vocal parts there are, are mostly chorus... pretty standard Disney fare for its era. Compare to Bambi or Snow White. Amazon does not have sample clips but there are some on Last.FM:

The more memorable songs here are "Baby Mine" (one of the best lullabies in their catalog), "Pink Elephants on Parade" (kinda creepy - I think this scene traumatized me as a kid, LOL), and of course the classic "When I See an Elephant Fly."
I still have some other material to review first but I will try to get this one submitted to JERIC for approval in the next couple of days. |
