No. It's not "Watership Down".
It seems as if only another clip from the same soundtrack will solve the mystery this time... so here we go: new sample. |

Indeed, it isn't the score I thought it was. Impressive how the first notes bring me to something totally different!
Sorry, I've no idea what this is. _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

Whow, I never thought that this would be THAT difficult
It's not John Powell. It's not Mark McKenzie. It's not Durango.
Here's a hint (which probably doesn't help at all ):
The man, who composed this terrific soundtrack, was nominated for the best score Oscar that season, but for another movie and did not win it.
And please keep in mind that if parts of "An American Tail" (1986) sound like this, James Horner might have been inspired by the score we are looking for. And that's only possible if... |

The composer won several Emmy awards, received multiple Emmy nominations, received an Oscar nomination, a Grammy nomination (for this particular score), won a Saturn award and has composed music for countless movies and TV series. |

FINALLY!
Well done, neomxd21.
Yes, it is "Young Sherlock Holmes" by Bruce Broughton. The first sample is the beginning of the track "Fencing Lessons". The second is from the Main Title.
Now... let's see what the next soundtrack-riddle will be... |

Well done neo!!
I'm not really familiar with this score so I do not have to pull my hair out for not guessing it right - what a relief |

Well done, neo.
Bruce would have been one of my latter guesses too. But probably wouldn't come up with the title.

That music was very familiar to me but I couldn't find the movie title in my head Thanks neomxd21 for solving that riddle! _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
