It's easier having a beer with Elliot Goldenthal than having one with you DallasTreado

That makes me feel really sad ... or important ... or ... not sure. It is terrible timing always for me. I am on loooong trip (73 days away from home) and then will go to the States with family ... and then come back to Poland just before the SST trip to LA. My timing never works out!
Somehow, it seems I will meet you by chance in the airport before I meet you at an SST event. But I am not giving up yet! Next year is looking good! |

About what time will the picnic be before the JW concert? I signed up for the Fans of Film Music event and want to get back in time. |

thinking about joining up with fans of film music as well. I think it may be a good thing to work together in the future for this particular event. _________________ I am Lakota! Whatever does not kill me. Makes a funny story! |

As far as I know Dutchbat is already in contact with the fans of film music organizer. When he knows more he will let us know _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Sounds awesome! This is going to be a great event. I was thinking the picnic be around 4 or would that be too early? The event starts at 8-8:30. I just need to check what the latest check-in time for the picnic area is before they make it open to everyone. |

OK here's my update about the things that are planned as extra event.
I have tried to keep planning in order with Socr8s plans as it's his party after all
I had extensive contact with Peter Hackman who organizes the Fans of Filmmusic Event on Saturday, Sep 1.
We looked to the opportunity of having a combined meet & greet with his guests and our guest and in the meantime mixing with all fans, but Peter
was too anxious that this would damage his event. So therefore I decided to have our 'meet&greet' on sunday Sep,2
Time and place will have to be determined yet. I have spoken with Ray Costa in Krakow and have a gentleman''s agreement on having Christopher Young *as guest at that meeting. Confirmation and a talk on how it's going to be planned with Chris and Ray is foreseen next weekend
during the Cordoba Festival.
This leaves the saturday open for people who want to visit the FoFM-event.
I proposed to Peter that I would take orders for the SST-members who have NOT YET registered for that event ($ 21 fee, no lunch)
The closed panel discussions with up to 6 composers will take place in two sessions each followed by a signingsession:
First session: 10.00 am to 11.30 + signingsession
Lunchbreak (everyone for him/herself)
Second session: 01.30 pm to 0300pm + signing session
This should give enough time to be at the picnic area if that starts at 4 pm
but Socr8s will have the final decision on that.
So, I want to know who has not yet subscribed for the Fanmeeting and wants to do so. Posting in this forum will do. As soon as I have confirmation of tickets by FoFM prepayment will have to be made via my paypalaccount.
* Possible extra guests are still discussed _________________ Wow, that was fun, let's do it again!! (Donkey in "Shrek")

Any ideas which composers will be a part of the closed panel discussion for the FoFM event? I might be interested depending who will be there. _________________ Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow. - James Dean |

OK, so not having followed the forum as closely as I should, I have missed details about the Fans of Film Music event. But, as I understand it, it's a separate event, but will not interfere with either the JW or the DN concert. Thanks to Dutch's hard work in organizing our event and playing nice with other film music lovers, it now appears people attending can go to both concerts if they wish, the picnic, AND the FoFM event (as long as the $21 registration fee is paid).
Am I correct?
Dutch...if you are taking orders for the FoFM registration fees, when is the deadline to get you the $21? _________________ The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Don't know about the deadline yet VL
As soon as the website of FoFM goes live the composers will be announced definitely.
I got the word so far that following composers will be there, divided over the 2 sessions.:
Bruce Broughton;Deborah Lurie,Marco Beltrami;Trevor Morris, Edward Shearmur; Richard Sherman and Theodore Shapiro _________________ Wow, that was fun, let's do it again!! (Donkey in "Shrek")

Dutch, perhaps you may want to ask people in this thread to email you for more info on FoFM composers to respect Peter's official announcement (although I'm sooo excited by the news).
Also, I'm planning on going to Universal Studios Friday morning so if anyone would like to accompany me, feel free to post here or PM. I was thinking about taking the subway there. |

Anyone know if there are any kind of tickets left? There is a possibility I might be able to get a relatively cheap flight to L.A. if the variables are favorable. I tried to post on the FB event page, but some privacy setting of mine is too locked down for it to show. Thanks! |

I might possibly be interested in the panel. Don't count me as yes yet but if it's close to filling up, let me know ASAP.
I'm back from vacation and haven't been on here for a bit. I have to double check my numbers and make sure we're all accounted for but there are tickets left.
Thanks for organizing your part Dutch. |
