Tried to open both 32k and 64/128k for Windows Media Player and I'm getting the following mesage:

Quote:
There is a problem with the URL or file you are trying to open or play. If you are trying to open an URL, the URL may not be valid. If you are trying to play a file, the file type is not recognized by Windows Media Player, but the Plaer may still be able to play the file. However, you should only play files from a trustworthy source.

Do you want the Player to try to play this content?

I click yes 3 times and it closes the file. Any ideas?

64k aacPlus and 128k WMA streams are going away (or perhaps already have) 32k WMA may also be going away. That should leave 128k MP3 and 32k aacPlus. It doesn't look like the Listen page has been updated yet, though. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it seems both AAC+ and WMA 64/128k streams are now working again for me, as well.

Thanks all!

For the past week or so, it seems both of the hi-def WMP streams (mp3 and WMA) are extremely choppy: constantly cutting in and out. I switched to the iTunes aacPlus and it sounds beautiful. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I used to always listen to the 64k AAC+ with the Orban plug-in and it worked so well; the quality was always much better than the mp3 or WMA streams. Is there a particular reason it was dropped?

I can make do with iTunes, but I could make WMP so... small, and it uses less memory.

Thanks!
Mr. Green

I've been getting this message all of a sudden, and instead of being able to click the Winamp link and have it open, or clicking Winamp and it automatically going straight to SST, it tried to open WMP on EVERY SINGLE listen link.

I put the plugin on WMP but I can't make Winamp play SST now. I don't like using iTunes. How do I make Winamp play it again? Sad

Please keep in mind that I know NOTHING about how this stuff works.

Hey Bruiser! I sent you a PM with a quick temporary idea. Maybe it will help to get the music play.
If not, could you give us an error message you get?

For now, you can try going File -> Play URL -> Fill in http://hi1.streamingsoundtracks.com:8000 -> Click Open.
I usually play from the "History" playlist in the media library. It's easy to find there since SST has like 2000 plays vs. up to 20 from other tracks Razz
