Ermm, actually... *giggles* this is one of the other titles I just submitted to JERIC for approval. Wanted it to be a surprise & wasn't gonna say anything (so I guess the cat's outta the bag on that one!) – but I would rather mention it here so somebody else doesn't spend $$$ on it needlessly, as I already have a copy ready to donate. I'm just waiting to hear back now.
And, of course, I voted YES. |

Adding some requested info that was not included with the original post:
Composer: Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman
Date: 1971
Track listing:
01 - Overture / The Old Home Guard (5:31)
02 - The Age of Not Believing (3:18 )
03 - With a Flair (2:34)
04 - A Step in the Right Direction (2:25)
05 - Eglantine / Don't Let Me Down / Eglantine (Reprise) (3:41)
06 - Portebello Road (3:27)
07 - Portebello Street Dance (1:07)
08 - The Beautiful Briny (4:01)
09 - Substitutiary Locomotion (1:44)
10 - Eglantine (Reprise) / Portebello Road (Reprise) (1:14)
11 - Finale (1:55)
* omitted #12-14 because they're low-quality bonus track demos that I don't see making the cut
Total time: 31 minutes
Angela Lansbury (voice of Mrs. Potts in Beauty & the Beast) and David Tomlinson (the dad from Mary Poppins) are indeed the primary performers on the vocal bits, but the composers are actually the Sherman Brothers (see link above). If the name sounds familiar, it's because they also worked on Aristocats, Jungle Book, & Mary Poppins for Disney. In fact, the featured theme song from B&B, "The Beautiful Briny," was originally written for Poppins but its fantasy sequence was cut from that film. "Briny" is typically considered the thematic predecessor to/inspiration for "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid some time later.

I've been desperate to hear Portebello Road. I keep humming it to myself. So glad you donated it! |

Oh, that is so cool! I can't wait to go bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea! _________________ "I like what I hear as a resulting combination of these two strands... something of a combination of familiarity and, for lack of a better word, strangeness." -Alex North |
