FIMUCITÉ’s “Alien: A Biomechanical Symphony” has captivated more than 4,000 people from all over Europe in Krakow
The audience surrendered to the concert conducted by composer and director of FIMUCITÉ, Diego Navarro, who performed this great monographic piece, conceived and premiered in Tenerife in 2009, at the Closing Night Gala of the 5th edition of the Polish Film Music Festival
More than 4,000 European people gave an ovation to the spectacular “Alien: A Biomechanical Symphony”, conducted by composer and FIMUCITE´s director, Diego Navarro and performed by the prestigious Sinfonietta Cracovia, and Pro Musica Mundi Choir at the Closing Night Gala of the V Festiwal Muzyki Filmowej (FMF) in Krakow.
FIMUCITÉ, which will be held from July 7 to 14, sponsored by Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, Canary Islands Government and Santa Cruz and Arona City Councils, premiered this piece worldwide, which includes music from the four films belonging to the famous “Alien” saga, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film “Alien”. The second half of the concert featured an Oscar Academy Award Winner Elliot Goldenthal program, presenting an expanded “Alien 3” version with new arrangements. This half also included the works the author has composed for director Julie Taymor, his wife, with cues from “Titus Andronicus”, or “Frida”. The director herself, as well as the composer and the Polish director Krzystof Penderecki, attended the concert and could enjoy Diego Navarro’s passion on the stage.
With this new success, FIMUCITÉ and the Krakow Film Music Festival close another episode of this close collaboration which began in 2009. The two main European film music live events continue their alliance with an exchange of guests, which has already resulted in the First International Film Music Festivals Circuit, with the vocation to enrich each other with their projects since the most known composers and experts of film music have already attended both events. |
