Devin - your first link (image display) is not working properly.
Unless I've missed something, this looks to be the exact same item as you already posted in this (locked) thread:
http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7089
This is still a CD-R and still a BOOTLEG which SST can't accept.
If you are really that keen on having this music in the db, I would suggest instead...
a) looking for compilation albums (say, one for this composer or one of Spielberg films) where perhaps some of the tracks are included, if not the complete score.
b) looking into whether this title was ever released on vinyl; if so and you can find a clean copy for digitizing, it may be possible to add that way.
c) check into who currently holds the copyright (Universal) and contact them about giving the title a formal re-release on CD.
d) approach from the store side and request Amazon, iTunes, etc., to carry it in their mp3 offerings. While not the preferred format I believe SST will sometimes consider adding an mp3 album where no other source is available.
e) if the composer has a website, explore it to see if some of the music may be available for digital download there; if not, you might write the admin to ask or suggest it.
f) if never released even on vinyl, start a petition thread in the forum at Film Score Monthly (or a similar soundtrack rarities site) where it might actually have a shot at bringing about a CD release.
SST is basically a radio station playing what's already been in print, so instead of re-posting here something that SST can't get, I hope at least one of these alternate ideas will be more productive for you. |
