The final European Gathering for this season is happening in Vienna.
Friday Oct,4 will see a concert by James Horner music conducted by David Newman.
Saturday Oct.5 we will have an SST meeting in Vienna as well.
Guest there is yet to be decided, but David Newman has been invited by me.
I presume one of the Musketeers can make this a sticky subject and create a
Facebook Event for it as well.
NB: Tickets go on sale Monday, March,18th and it is known to be sold out soon, so please hurry when you want tickets for the 'Hollywood in Vienna' concert in the fabulous Wiener Konzerthaus.

I just ordered a ticket, prices aren't cheap so I'd advise to not wait too long with ordering and still get a decent seat! |

I'd like to go with Tonks but I already have work related event planned for 4th of October. So not this time. Maybe next year...

According to a facebook post from 'Hollywood in Vienna' already 15 hours after the start of ticketsales over 1400 out of 1800 tickets were sold.
I really urge all members who are looking forward to see and hear James Horner LIVE to speed up their purchase. |

I'll be on site, as I am partially involved in the gala (reorchestrated the Universal Fanfare by James Horner for the concert), and Dutchbat already asked me to reserve a nice restaurant for all of us to meet on Saturday (one day after the concert) around 11:30am for lunch.

@ Silverhead: Not too casual, but not too overfancy. Elegant, appropriate for classical concerts

Here is the provisional program for Saturday Oct,5th
We get tiogether at the 'Haus der Musik" located between the Opera and the Stephansdom.
Address: Seilerstätte 30
With U-bahn 1-4 use Karlplatz or Stephansplatz to get of the train.
With the tramway: 1,2, D or J: Station Oper
Time of meeting: 10.45u
We'll have some time getting acquainted to each other and "the Conductrine"
At 11.15 we will head for:
Restaurant Ofenloch (short walking distance) at Kurrentgasse 8,
where we will have our meeting with Bernhard Eder and Diego Navarro.
Here we will have a drink and after that a lunch.
The people who have registered on the forum are accounted for. If extra people want to join that will be depending on room availability. |
