Colorado Fires...

I am safe, the Black Forest Fire is very close but to the south east of Castle Rock. It is unlikely that the fire will head west. The smoke plume is close and dramatic but we are not "under" it like the Waldo Canyon fire last year or the Hayman fire of 2002. I took some pictures of the plume on my way home from work yesterday.






I will try and get better photos tonight or if all goes well today maybe not. Sadly the weather is not going to cooperate with firefighting efforts.

I have more concern over a very small fire to the west.

I do not think any of us in Colorado are in any immediate danger at the moment.
