Pete, I'm so sorry about this setback, but at least it sounds small and hopefully the treatment is easier. Wishing the best for you this holiday season. You're in my thoughts.
Take care,

Cancer is finding a home
in me for some reason or
other and like most of the
cases you hear about, it
is less than clear.
I have to operate with the
information I have available
to me and this time, we do
not have as much. Right
now, we have this MRI and
that is it. We do not have
a comparison for is except
the "all-clear" earlier in the
year. So, it's taken that
long OR has it come on re-
cently? We don't know.
The new surgeon will give
me more data. Perhaps,
we will do another MRI for
ANY sign of growth and it
would give us a better rate
of urgency. I do not know,
right now.
The only thing that is certain
is that I will not opt for rad-
iation or chemo, no matter
what is presented to me or
from where.
I will let you know.
When it rains, it pours and
this is only one of the things
I am fielding. There is a
saying that if you want
something done: give it to
a busy person. Maybe I
just have something else
to get done.
We'll see.
Thanks, all.

Oh, Petey...I am so sorry about this. Like zir said, it sounds small so, hopefully, they can take care of it easily. I know you already know this, but we love you and we're all behind you in this.
I would like to know what was it that decided you on not getting chemo or radiation? Oh, well...that doesn't really matter. Man...this has been a HORRIBLE week for me with my friends. _________________ It's hard to soar with dragons when you work with gargoyles!

Keep up the faith and the fight Pete!
Could be that a cell detatched (split) from the original tumor, travelled slowly thorough the body and recently has found a new place to anchor. There is a chance it will be enough to get rid of that new thing to solve the problem since it's still small.
You're in my thoughts, too.

Thanks, guys.
On the question: I had
radiation on my hip and it
is dead. Nothing. Tissue
not regenerating. I have
the original crater and
the pain associated. It
was a mistake.
It kills along with chemo
but as you live. I would
rather just live.
I appreciate the well-wishes.
Love,

What a freaking mess.
Well... what can I say. My thoughts are with you and I really, honestly, sincerely hope that it can be treated "easily".
Hang in there, Pete.
Hugs,

Saw surgeon, today.
He believes the tumor related
and proposes the removal of
the entire right buttock and
re-trenching of the original
effected area. This is a major
procedure and will be very
debilitating. The nerves to
the lower legs will be at risk.
While I won't lose the leg, he
believes it does not have to
be amputated. He thinks that
I should not rule out chemo-
therapy, though it would be
a special technique, only
recently used.
He believes my life it at risk
and asked for an immediate
C-Scan of the lungs. I did do
it after I saw him and am
waiting for the result.
After all this, he asked me
what my decision was. I
told him what I would tell
any magazine salesman:
"I'll think about it and get
back to you."
I will look at from other
angles, as I have been all
this while but I will be more
strict about the supplements
and diet (upping and adding).
Two things are certain.
1. I will not entertain chemo.
2. I am not going to sacrifice
my butt and leg for this
experiment.
That is that.

Awww, man...
I have absolutely no right to suggest anything to you, but I will anyways...
Please, please do entertain the thought of more chemo and/or butt/leg surgery.
I also realize that all of my sympathy and $1 will get you a cheap cup of coffee and nothing more... but hang in there, Pete!!!
*all of the hugs*
