Dates for next Transatlantyk Festival in Poznań (Poland) were announced some time ago (it's August 8-14, 2014), so I edited Dutch's first post in this thread. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

yes Francis,
My foot is still sore and swollen, still does not fit in my shoe yet, but I have been slightly better on crutches than before. (have to use them for three more weeks and have to try to walk on it) . I was a little too naive (or optimistic) to think that you can walk right away if the plaster is off.... _________________ friends will always be friends even when they aren't there |

GALA DE CLAUSURA: DARK KNIGHT; A GOTHAM SYMPHONY
celebrating 75 years of Batman.
Here's the playlist of this overwhelming good concert.
A big thumbs up for production who set up a program with enough entertaining music, great clips and beautiful soloïsts.
It started off with an honorary award for Paul Williams
- Title song for " Phantom of the paradise" / Paul Williams
- TV series theme / Neil Hefti
- BATMAN/ Danny Elfman
Batman theme, Flowers, Love theme, the Joker's poem, Clown Attack,
Up the cathedral, Waltz to the death,Final confrontation, Finale
- BATMAN RETURNS/ Danny Elfman
Birth of the Penguin, Main title, the Cementery, A shadow of doubt,
End credits
- BATMAN:MASK OF THE PHANTASM / Shirley Walker. Suite
Intermission
- Specially arranged " Grand Gothic Suite" / Eliott Goldenthal
with music from BATMAN FOREVER and BATMAN AND ROBIN
containing:
Main titles, Fledermausmarschmusik, Chase Blanc, Chase Noir,
Mr.E's dance card, Two-face three step, Birth of Bane, Gotham City boogie,
Mouth to mouth nocturne, Victory, Batterdammerung
- THE DARK KNIGHT / Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard
Why so serious?, I'm not a hero, the Joker
- THE DARK KNIGHT RISES / Hans Zimmer
Batman's training, Childhood memories, Why do we fall?, Imagine the fire,
Bane
- Suite from BATMAN BEGINS/ Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard
Molossus, Batman's theme, A dark knight
as an extra for the wonderful performance of the soloïsts, Uyanga (vocals),
Tina Guo (electric cello) and Ciprian Costin (Synthesizers) we got an unidentified remix that is also on the TDKR-album. But with the combination of that with full orchestra and choir even I liked that (and stayed awake!)
I will write a review for a Dutch soundtrack magazine and put that on Diego Navarro's composer page for you all to read. _________________

We had meeting in Dallas two years ago.
Point is that people in the USA don't want or, some, can't travel to the event.
Therefore the number of participants was too low each time I organized a meeting or a meet&greet.
So unless there's extra funding available to set up another event there won't be a US meeting foreseen in the near future.
Upcoming big event will be a European Fans of Filmmusic Meeting in London,UK in the weekend before the Titanic Live
Concert with James Horner, Apr.27th.
Details will follow in the 'meetings' forum soon _________________
