Well Jerry Goldsmith has done some wonderful work in the past, but is it possible he just doesnt have that magic anymore? Startrek Nemesis, his last score, simply sucked, and now I see he has been put in his place again. Ouch for Goldsmith.

I agree that Nemesis doesn't sound like a Goldsmith soundtrack but....
I disagree that this one sucked. I like it.
Maybe it's because I'm a Star Trek fan. _________________ In a world without justice, one man was chosen to protect the innocent. |

Well perhaps I should state how I rate score. To me, they have to work wel in the film, and be oustanding on their own. (Yes those are very high standards, considering a score's main purpose is to just work in the film.)
Goldsmith's Nemesis I could imagine works fine in the film, but is an utter disaster on its own. _________________ By responding in any way shape or form, you contractually agree that I’m right, and youre wrong. |

I totally agree. I don't have the possibility to listen to SST while I'm working. I don't have an internetconnection on my computer, so I often listen to cd's. So for me a score has to be good, even without the movie.
Sure, there are better scores to listen to then Nemesis. But I like it. _________________ In a world without justice, one man was chosen to protect the innocent. |
