I have the 1938 version on vid cassete at home. as for the restored version, if they make that available on DVD I'm there!

No, you're right many of us haven't seen the original b/c we have lives, and can't afford to waste time to see a digitally restored print. However, be that as it may I'm sure it is quite good, but nobody can beat the foxes man =)

ah man! Seeing a restored print in the theatre would rock! Sigh, the benefits of living in LA.
And yes consider this a second again for the score for this movie. I have it myself on album and would love it... Is it available on cd yet?

I know this thread is quite old...but man Cocles, I wish I could have seen the restored RH in theatres!!! As soon as Amazon.com said the 1938 film was coming to DVD, I couln't wait to get it. I got it last year as soon as it came out - Awesome!

Sjfreeberg, aren't those 3 chances on TV? We're talking about to the theatres, not home entertainment. And besides, if I have it on DVD, why would I want to watch it on TV?

Can you believe they are actually showing the restored version of "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" at the cinema here? Does this mean I rule too? Ok, who wants to touch me?

I bought it a few weeks back as well. Man there's a lot of bonus material on it! All in glorious technicolor.

About the RH DVD - no kidding! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the bonus material. How'd you like that unbelievable archer Howard Hill in Cavalcade of Archery? Anyways, I'm so pleased with that purchase!!!
