I'm having trouble figuring out the point of this thread. Was this originally supposed to be a soundtrack request? _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I think we somehow got off the orig subject though and I have no idea why he posted it here and not in the requests forum. _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

I'm sorry i'm not as cool as you:

I doubt many of you morons have even seen the 1930's version.
Of course, because I rule, I'll actually be seeing a restored print being projected digitally this week at a nearby theater |
No, you're right many of us haven't seen the original b/c we have lives, and can't afford to waste time to see a digitally restored print. However, be that as it may I'm sure it is quite good, but nobody can beat the foxes man =)

LOL, you say I don't have a life because I go to the movies, yet you're in here bragging about one of your favorite films.
Brilliant.
Anyways, yes, my bad, I meant to post this in the request forum and hadn't noticed my error. Thread moved, problem fixed. Jeric, if you need more info on this soundtrack let me know. |

OK NEWBIES! LISTEN UP! See the poost above this one. That is how you act when you are proven wrong. You accept the blame and move along.
BTW... Take note of this one people cause it don't happen that often.
We now return you to your regularly sheduled thread. _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

ah man! Seeing a restored print in the theatre would rock! Sigh, the benefits of living in LA.
And yes consider this a second again for the score for this movie. I have it myself on album and would love it... Is it available on cd yet?

Now that they have a digital print floating around, they'll probably do it again at some point. Just keep your eyes and ears open. |

Hope it comes around in Canada. If not, I'll have to scoot on down south. _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

Okies, good stuff... some threads are worth keeping alive.
Noone with Turner Classic Movies will have the excuss, "I've never seen it, so I can't make the comparison - boo whoo. "
So, here you go:
http://www.turnerclassicmovies.com/Film/Popup/0,,738,00.html
You have 3 more chances to see it, but frankly I hope you do follow my tendencies *cough* procrastination - was that out loud?
Now get over your self-righteous, special-effects trips and watch a good flick. Education is dangerous, i'n't it?
My 3rd favorite is Rabbit Hood, just something about Warner Brothers jockularity. _________________ A good composer does not imitate; he steals.

Sjfreeberg, aren't those 3 chances on TV? We're talking about to the theatres, not home entertainment. And besides, if I have it on DVD, why would I want to watch it on TV? _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

Can you believe they are actually showing the restored version of "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" at the cinema here? Does this mean I rule too? Ok, who wants to touch me?

I bought it a few weeks back as well. Man there's a lot of bonus material on it! All in glorious technicolor. _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

Sensei, Sensei! May I, may I??? LOL!!! That would be so neat to watch that one!
About the RH DVD - no kidding! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the bonus material. How'd you like that unbelievable archer Howard Hill in Cavalcade of Archery? Anyways, I'm so pleased with that purchase!!! _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |
