Love it! Can you do the same for 1980s.fm _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

@thuringwethil certainly. Would that be its own app or better an all in one 24seven.fm app featuring all the 4 channels?
If its one app, it would remember which channel you were listening last time and use that on the next app start. On a fresh start it would ask you which channel to listen too. A pull from side menu could allow to switch channels. |

As the current Android app covers all 5 stations, I think it would be good to have the iOS app do the same. But that's just my thoughts as a non iOS user.

Any updates on the iOS for 1980s? Is the android one no longer working? _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

The android app I use "24Seven StreamPlayer" by cpmonster still works for me. I just select whichever station I want and it plays.
It shows in Google PlayStore as just updated in June this year, so you could try re-installing if you have issues.
Otherwise I'd suggest a PM to cpm _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |

I just went on a very long road trip (over 1,000 miles one way), and it was SOOO nice having SST play through Apple CarPlay at the touch of a button! So simple and easy to use. Well done!
One question: if the app is open but not in use, is there a chance it is still streaming in the background? My battery life seems to be shorter since installing on my iPhone.
Thanks!

A new version is available since today, which allows to select the station to stream from. The UI is not final but since some people requested this feature I put it in now already. The selected station is not remembered over app starts for now though. That will come next. |

Thanks for trying out the app and I am happy it was useful for you. Did you see the covers on the car display too?
As for running in the background. If the app is stopped (via Pause), it should stop streaming and just be idle. I will check again if it still consumes resources then. Thanks for reporting this potential issue. |

I have checked this quickly. When the music playing is stopped it does not CPU or network. Same goes for when its in the background. You can use iOS settings under "battery" to check which app uses the most battery. |

Phil, yes! It perfectly displayed the album covers during the trip. Every now and again, CarPlay couldn't recognize my device and I had to unplug/replug, but I think that's an Apple or Honda issue. Beautiful App!
