Wow. The first non-nate post in this thread.

Anyway, I just read this article here:

Personally, I think that rule stinks. I can think of so much good score that comes from musical films (Alan Menken's score for Beauty and the Beast comes to mind), and I don't quite understand this ruling, especially when the songs and score are written, I believe, by the same person.

I suppose there's greater irony when you consider SST doesn't have the songs in its library, just the score.
