Regret
1. A sense of loss and longing for someone or something gone. 2. A feeling of disappointment or distress about something that one wishes could be different.
My one regret is that I have always wanted to be doing something that seemed bigger than me and the only job I have had is as a secretary. With all of the talents and gifts bestowed upon me, I find that all I have to offer the world is "how many copies would you like and would you like tabs in that binder?" I regret that I cannot give back to the world what I take from it.
What decade in the 20th century do you find the most interesting?

1900 to 1910. The world was samller and diplomacy was rougher but it was a fun time to be alive.

Oh well, guess I will answer both questions, since you both posted at nearly the same time on accident. :)
Gallows: Kicking the door shut as fast as I can with my foot and hopefully without um.. splashing. If splashing is inevitable or kicking is just not possible for whatever reason, then yelling profusely at the person, trying to make them aware that I'm in there. If they persist and already know I am in there and have more sinister motives in mind, I really don't know what I would do. Damn, this is a long-winded answer.
