Well along with the Question topic, I thought I'd add one...
What was the first soundtrack you owned? What one got you hooked?
Me? - well I'd have to say I started with musicals, but Disney soundtracks probaby started it.

I love this question, I never thought about it!
Well, if I'm not wrong... it was "The Rock".I was watching the film just to listen the soundtrack and then it came to my mind: "it may be available on CD???" .
And there was the beginning a good one I think! |

I think my first ST was Jurassic Park. However, I've always loved Star Trek, Star Wars, and Disney tunes. They really opened my eyes to appreciating the works behind the movies. |

First childhood soundtrack: Disney's Peter Pan
First adulthood soundtrack: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (which was so great, it started my soundtrack collection). I still have the double vinyl lp's of it. |

My first soundtrack was Once Upon A Time in the West by Morricone. This is the very first I bought.
But when I was a little girl (about 6 years old... so far far away ! ), I found one day a soundtracks cassette and I listen to it. That day probably changed all my life, I discovered film music (West Side Story, Shaft, Jivago... )
And even before, when I was a baby I had a little musical boxe which played the Godfather's love theme.
(I'm french and I afraid my english is not very good, so excuse me.) |

Hmm when cassetts were the main medium (childhood) I think my first soundtrack was surely a Disney movie. Maybe The Lion King or perhaps some soundtrack to an elementary school play I was in (Grease?). However my first soundtrack CD I think was The Mask of Zorro. |

When I Was A Teenager Film Fan , I collected a lot of soundtracks on tape. Not enough money to buy all of them ! |
