Something is out of whack with this thread, and I think an additional post will solve the symptom (but not the problem). Carry on.

First Soundtrack Ever:
The Hunt For Red October - Basil Poledouris
Still has to be on my top ten, an amazing score.
ST that inspired me to Compose myself:
Gladiator - Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard
Has 2 of the best themes of all time if you ask me. Made the movie a classic.

Star Trek II, the first and still the favorite. Would have been in high school, probably 8+ years ago |

First soundtrack I bought was a double-LP : Star Wars by John Williams in 1977. It still ranks #1 in my Top 100.
First soundtrack I bought without seeing the movie: The Cider House Rules by Rachel Portman. _________________ "After dark all cats are leopards." - Native American Proverb |

Randy Edelman's main theme for Gettysburg really moved me and the score for the film was just beautiful! That was my first score purchased . . . the one that started it all B) |

The first soundtrack I bought was Titanic after I heard my cousin play The Portrait on the piano. Then I became completely hooked and listened to pretty much nothing else for the next four years till I moved away for college. The first soundtrack I bought without seeing the movie was Black Hawk Down, mostly just because I knew it was Hans Zimmer. |

Nuttyroyal, welcome to the forums! I think you'll find a lot of Zimmer fans around here. I think they have their own informal club too. Hans Zimmer Forever or Hans Zimmer Club or something like that. |

My first soundtrack, IIRC, was a 7" 45 RPM record which had the Star Wars theme on one side and the Cantina theme on the other. I was five years old. The second, when I was seven, was the Muppet Movie on 8-Track lol. My third, and the one that got me officially hooked on movie soundtracks, was a double 12" LP of The Empire Strikes Back. |

Nah, it's not the Hisaishi Fan Club. I remember HZC in the queue a couple times. I don't think the originator posted it in the forums though. |

Legends of the Fall...way back when I was in 9th grade. Amazing Horner. I've expanded a bit since then. _________________ "The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection." ~Michaelangelo
