COMIC BOOK SUPERHEROS FILM MUSIC UNIVERSE TO ASSEMBLE FOR FIMUCITÉ’s 14th EDITION

The Tenerife International Film Music Festival has prepared an outstanding program of concerts and masterclasses for film music fans to enjoy from September 18th to 27th.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 7 February 2020 - The Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ) has released a teaser poster to announce the dates of this year’s events, which mark the 14th edition of the festival. FIMUCITÉ runs from September 18th to 27th, 2020 with the sponsorship of Cabildo de Tenerife, the Canary Islands Government, the city councils of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Audi Canarias and Teleférico del Teide, among others.

Comic books and superheroes, which has long served as inspiration for critically acclaimed and high grossing feature films, will be the musical theme for this present edition. Teaser poster created by Spanish illustrator José Luis Trujillo, who also designed official posters in the seventh (2013) and eighth (2014) editions of this international film music international, pays homage to the “ninth art” superhero universe.

The concert program for FIMUCITÉ 14 will include music from successful films and tv series that have adapted renowned comic book series and graphic novels. Music will be performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife conducted by Spanish composer Diego Navarro, and the FIMUCITÉ Youth Orchestra from the Conservatorio Profesional of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias.

Guest composers and industry members in attendance are soon to be announced along with more exciting updates.
