I really cannot stand all the video game music that plays here. There's obviously some niche the music appeals to; I just fail to understand that niche. |

I agree. Most of the console music, especially for older console games, can be pretty harsh (though the symphonic versions are more tolerable). Probably suit the games just fine but as stand alone music....mleh.
Some of the PC game music, on the other hand, tends to be much better, much more movie-like in it's composition (Baldur's Gate, Medal of Honor, Icewind Dale, Diablo etc.). That stuff I enjoy. _________________ Fool me seven times, shame on you. Fool me eight or more times, shame on me. |

Ah but 'tis the beauty of a radio station, even one that you don't have to call in to request any thing. Everybody likes something but not everyone likes everything.
Me, I'm a big fan of the game soundtracks. True, maybe its because I've played some of them and enjoy video games in general but...

Ya know, I use the feel the same way (I didn't like all the game tracks) but they've definitely grown on me. Some are very good. But some can still be a bit repetitive. - 2cents |

I loathe most video game scores, esp Castlevania. I do make an exception for Final Fantasy, but that's it, lol. _________________ "When you look into the eyes of a wolf you see into your soul. Hope you like what you see..." Aldo Leopold |

Have you listened to Medal of Honor? It's a video game music and one of the best scores on here. |

My least favorite sound track that gets plenty overplayed (probably by the same person) is the BUffy the Vampire Slayer. Like Sodom and Gomorrah I'd be willing to keep it if there was but 1 righteous track, but alas...TORCH IT!
BTW I can live with alot of the video game tracks they arent that bad.

Yea, I wonder who keeps playing that Buffy track. There's one in particular that I absolutely hate. |

AH Man I really liked the Ghost In The Shell score, especially the Floating Museum song.

I fully agree. Floating Museum is probably the best track of GITS, but maybe also the only really good one though. The chanted songs can get very annoying after a while.

Well, I've only heard three so far. Just not my taste I guess. The one I recall the most was last night - all synthesizers. _________________ http://allthingstolkienandlewis.blogspot.com/
