I've did some comparisions of stuff I found on the net and encoded by myself.
If you ask me, Ogg Vorbis has a better audio quality then mp3PRO at the same bitrate. Although the difference is small, you can hear it very well. How lower the bitrate, how bigger the difference.
Knowing it is patent-free, Ogg Vorbis is the winner in my opinion.
