If you ask her nicely, Cal, maybe she could get one or two signatures on your t-shirt too _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

The Gathering starts today officialy but we had good time here already!
Dutchbat came a bit earlier bringing SST stand and counter with him.
Tonks, Finn and me, we arrived a day after Dutch having traditional Gathering t-shirts for SSTers in our luggage.
It's exactly like Dutchbat promised! FUN, SUN and FILM MUSIC.
We practised FUN and SUN so far.
We stay in nice hotel which is not crowded so we have pretty good swimming pool nearly for ourselves alone.
We visited very good local restaurants, tasted great local wine and outstanding food. One of our waiters spoke a little Polish even! We spent some time on a fabulous beach full of sun and played in a waters of warm, clear ocean.
So it was FUN and SUN indeed. Now we wait for FILM MUSIC to complete our Gathering.
Some shots of fun & sun for you:
First sight of Tenerife we got:
Pictures from the beach (Playa de Teresitas):
Finn, Dutch and Mol:
Swimming pool is also fun:
From a walk across Santa Cruz:
BTW: We also miss PeteC a lot!

More pictures from 4th European SST Gathering in Santa Cruz de Tenerife:
SST group is bigger now so the fun is double
Yesterday we picked up Chandler from his comfortable hideout on south end of the island. But first we had a trip across Parque Nacional del Teide, catching some magnificent views there:
During lunch we learned that on Tenerife you don't need to travel far to get to Las Vegas...
...and we had unexpected company at the table!
Quickly it turned out that lizards are just like humans - at least when it comes to pleasure of eating chocolate:
Meanwhile, in the town, Fimucite was in full swing so we had to leave wild areas of Tenerife and return to so called civilization.
Having Chandler on board we went to Teatro Guimerá in Santa Cruz for yesterday's concert with Henry Mancini music (in the picture: Dutchbat, Girlfriend, Chandler, Finn, Wolf301 and Tonks):
BTW: Here is the back of our gathering t-shirts for this event:
Thanks Dutchbat! Great work as usual!
Big Band of Canarias (band's director: Kike Perdomo is standing up in the picture), played the music of Henry Mancini on stage of lovely Teatro Guimerá:
We had also some vocal pieces. Our soloist was Esther Ovejero:
I'm also happy to inform you that the custom of signing Girlfriend's t-shirt by composers is still alive:
And today we have another sunny, great day. Again "fun, sun and film music" still will be our motto _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Marianne got Diego signing a 'Welcome to Tenerife"
message on it.
No further composers except for Pete Anthony, but he was conducting and we didn't meet him (yet).

If anyone is interested here is more pictures for you:
Thursday was a day without concert so we went to Loro Parque where we spent around 7 hours I think, watching all kinds of animals, flowers, and big numbers of tourists of course.
We had orca show:
We had sealion show:
We had dolphins:
We had other animals to see:
And as I said, we had flowers:
On friday we spent the day at Siam Park (Water Kingdom) on south side of the island and Chandler again joined the group - this time for longer. Sun had no mercy on us - some of us got sunburns. But I think Siam Park was still big fun for most of us.
And there was a giant slide to enjoy too:
Oh, and in the evening we had nice concert back in Santa Cruz at Auditorio:
Concert was good, gave us some goosebumps, but for those who have sunburns, goosebumps were not as nice as they usually are
Tonight we have swimming pool fun again, then our final gathering dinner and in the evening final concert of the festival. The line up looks great. I can't wait to hear all those great tunes. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Here's a recording I made of the opening piece for the final concert.
Brian Tyler was tasked with rearranging Jerry Goldsmith's fanfare for Universal Studios, and I think it turned out rather well. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,
