update...........
The oparation went well. The tumor is gone. What was bad, that they found another one. But they removed that to.
So she will get the whole treatment. Chemo- radiation- and hormontherapy. To make sure all cancercells are dead and gone.
The prospect of 100% healing are good.
So we will see a harsh time ahead, but are optimistic about it.

Hello Iwan
Great to hear the operation went well.
What i heard from Lastdomino, the post-operation activities were the least inpacting,
except for the temporary hairloss and a little light-sensitivity.
She started her driver-job within 2 months after the operation, and still does.
No returns afterwards.
So congratulations to your wife and you.
Have a fine weekend.

Iwan, that is "wonderful" news! I'm happy they removed everything and the doctors are confident in a full recovery! I know there is still a lot of rough road ahead but your lady sounds like a tough cookie! Thank you for the update, I am happy to see your wife's progress. Much love and warm wishes from your SST friends! _________________ The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Hi all!
Is great to see so many known faces after all this time.
So,in case nobody remembers me :
I used to be hanging around here about 5 years ago, while I was studying and working in Spain, then I moved to Italy and started to work in busy place with an awful internet connection.
Now I'm back to student life for a year so I hope I'll have time to enjoy the music/community again. So excited! _________________ Fear is the mind killer |

Hello deart SST-friends,
At the end of the year, we have a great tradition here in the Netherlands: Top 2000. It's a list played on the national radio(Radio 2) from the first day of Christmas until the last day of the year. So i'm not on SST until the new year.
Have great end of the year and a healthy and beatiful new year.
My wife was in the hospital on Christmas day. She had a high fever and wasn't feeling very well. They kept her for a few days. Until the feever dropped and she was feeling better. Now she is at home again. The high feever was caused by the chemo. It had infected the longs too much...
Monday 30the of december she will get the last chemo.
to be continued.............

Dear Iwan, I'm so sorry that your wife felt that bad at Christmas. It was certainly a sad time for you and your family! I hope that today's chemo won't be too hard so that she will recover from it soon! Please give her my regards! I'll keep my fingers crossed for her!! Hang in there, you two!! *BIG HUGS* |

Update...
I know that this topic is not correct for this kind of updates. But I started to tell you about the health of my wife in this item, and I'll keep doing so.
She is feeling better every day. Negative effects of the chemo are fading away. The positive effect (cancer gone) is a thing for the future....
She is feeling tired, especially after some work at home. But that's understandble. She got her taste back and is eating better and more. She lost 9 kilo's due to chemo, so no problems there....

Hey all Got an email questioning if everything is ok out here. All is good! Just been super busy with work and trying to get things ready for our little addition coming in May.
Hope you are all well! I'll try to pop in more often when I can.
(For those that have my yahoo email - it kinda sucks; I'll be blunt. The format changed online and I can't figure out how to reply and I also can't access it on my phone anymore.)
If anyone wants my updated email just PM me and I'll get it out to you Sometimes that is the best way to reach me lately! _________________ Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow. - James Dean |
