Gosh!
"Removal of the entire right buttock"?
I thought they learnt already that removal of big body parts usually doesn't help much in a long run... Well, I'm not a doctor of course, but I would expect more explanations from a guy who suggests such serious thing, including info about any other options.
Keep your ears and eyes open Pete! And wish you good luck of course. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

I have seen these therapies
take too may lives, Alien and
it's not just that they are taken
but the way they are taken.
No. I have had enough. I
am doing this different and if
I go out, I will go out playing
and dancing and living.

Incidentally, this is the
the "highest authority" in
our city. He was recom-
mended by the surgeon
I worked with and sits
on the board for Kellogg.
He knows that I will be
looking at other views
and suggested where to
look but to not be surprised
if I was directed back to
him and/or his suggestion.
But enough of that.
THAT is where it is. I will
keep doing what I am doing
and that is always in the
direction of understanding
how cancer cells thrive
and then how to inhibit
them. I continue confident.
I am now on a 3-month
MRI schedule and still await
the day's C-Scan.
I realize that looking at
medicine the way I do
is not popular. I know
I won't win that contest.
I plan on seeing 3 other
conventional surgeons but
I have other plans already
in the works.
I'll show them.

Oh Pete, I didn't know it was as bad as that. But I totally agree with your viewpoint. I worked for an oncologist for awhile and he was very open about alternate therapies. He did have access to some experimental regimens as well as traditional treatments. But today, you have to be your own advocate, medicine has gotten too big and too much of a business looking out for itself and not the patient. Heck, I went to 4 different surgeons for interviews before I let one cut into me (not for cancer).
Warm hugs,

It's really bad news Pete, but I'm with you on this. I know a really good "alternative" doctor, who did a really good job on my son, but of course it wasn't as bas as this, and France is too far...
I'll help you to live and dance and anything I can do for you *gives mojito* _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

My dear Pete,
i'm so sorry to hear about what you are going through right now. I have too little experience and knowledge of such things to say anything clever, so i just keep praying for you and will help you to stay strong if there is any way to do.
But i also don't think that trying or thinking about any alternative methode or way is wrong. Just make sure it's not just any money-grabbing frauds, but i'm sure you'll do.
*Hugs and a smoochie on the baldy head*
Love you, buddy |

Dearest Pete,
I'm so sorry to hear this latest update. Your will and determination are a force to be reckoned with, and is a shimmer of light in such dark times. Your approach to your care is yours, and no one is judging you for it.
I sincerely hope you are not in pain, but this terrible thing does not always allow us such relief or give in to our hopes and wishes. I also hope that all the love and support you get here and other 24FM sites continue to lift your spirits and encourage you to keep fighting.
You are so loved, Pete. Our hearts ache for what you're going through. I know there are many and more stresses in your life, but I hope you can find some peace. If you find time, please continue to update us. We're all rooting for you. _________________ The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Thank you, all, for your
kind thoughts.
CT scan of chest looking
for possible spread shows
the ALL CLEAR in that
region. Some good news.

Pete, I'm very sorry that your doctor suggested such drastic measures and certainly hope other doctors have more creative solutions that are not so severe. Please do whatever you feel best regarding your treatments, but I would probably go with the consensus after consulting multiple doctors. I hope that things improve for you soon! With love, Zoe |

It's more: THIS DOCTOR.
There are more than two
ways to catch a canary.
What IS certain:
I will be on a schedule of
3-month MRIs.
I am on a constant hunt
for data and studies. I am
ALREADY finding many
useful avenues.
Thanks, again and I will
update progress.

Sounds promising! Keep up the good attitude Pete!
Wish you all the best buddy!
BTW: Are there any chances for a gene therapy in your case? _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

I am so sorry I have not been keeping up on your health news but I am having some difficulties of my own. I hope you are still seeking out other opinions, possible treatments and solutions beside the drestic removal of a buttock. I am glad to see you are still keeping a good attitude despite the prognosis and will continue to fight despite this piece of bad advice. I hope to hear better news in the future and miss seeing you at SST. |

I'm sure Pete would agree that such a drastic solution would be kind of half-a$$ed. |

Losing my butt is not
the worst of it. Plastic
surgery could replace it.
It's the nerves leading
down to the leg and foot
that concern me and they
can make no promises.
The answer with these
surgeons is always to cut
and radiate or to chem-
ically radiate etc. ALL
ultra-invasive.
With the modern technology
and all, they really know
very little about it.
The cancer for cancer cells
is oxygen and a higher pH.
That is the direction I am
going in but not only.

The thrust of the oxygenation direction has a foundation in this info:
On Warburg:
Dr. Otto Warburg, twice Nobel Laureate, awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1931 for his research on cellular respiration, explains: "The growth of cancer cells is initiated by a relative lack of oxygen. Cancer cannot live in an oxygen-rich environment...Cancer has only one prime cause. It is the replacement of normal oxygen respiration of the body’s cells by an anaerobic (i.e., oxygen deficient) cell respiration." Going into greater detail in The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer, he writes: "...the cause of cancer is no longer a mystery, we know it occurs whenever any cell is denied 60% of its oxygen requirements. Cancer, above all other diseases, has countless secondary causes. But, even for cancer, there is only one prime cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar. All normal body cells meet their energy needs by respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by fermentation. All normal body cells are thus obligate aerobes, whereas all cancer cells are partial anaerobes." Compare Otto Warburg On The Prime Cause & Prevention of Cancer: Respiration of Oxygen in Normal Body Cells vs. Fermentation of Sugar in Cancer Cells.
On Budwig:
The basis of Dr. Budwig’s diet or protocol is the ingestion of a special oil-protein mixture in the form of organic cold-pressed flaxseed oil plus cottage cheese or "quark" (a dairy product readily available in German-speaking countries made from various types of milk and roughly similar to cottage cheese), to balance an oversupply of omega 6 fatty acids and hydrogenated fats in the Western diet and to provide an immediately available abundant supply of essential omega 3 acids. Of all plant oils, flax oil is the richest source of these omega 3 acids (naturally occurring variations not considered, 100 g of oil contain 72g of polyunsaturated fatty acids, 54g of which are omega 3 acids). This oil is combined with protein (or more precisely, sulphurated amino acids** such as liberally found in quark/cottage cheese) to allow the highly unsaturated fatty acids to become water-soluble, thus bypassing the need for an (often) diseased or impaired liver to break down the unsatured fat by its own efforts. Quote: "The lipotropic protein connections, e.g. Cystein, as they are found in ... cottage cheese or nuts are able to make water-soluble the ...highly unsaturated fatty acids in seed oils. And that is what matters. When you mix together ... cottage cheese and linseed oil in your blender the fat becomes water-soluble" and thereby immediately available for use by the body. In this manner, the necessary "spark plugs" are provided for cells to "breathe", optimally detoxify and function, even more so when additionally combining the flax oil cottage cheese mix with an optimised sugar-free diet devoid of respiratory poisons [substances which inhibit cellular respiration] but containing much raw organic food (compare excerpts from Dr. Budwig’s Flax Oil As A True Aid and Nutrition page). _________________ All in the world recognize the
