In a nice coincidence, I recently ordered Jeff Wayne's version War of the Worlds. Has already shipped to SST. Hopefully in time for the next update.

Last soundtrack I bought was for my kids: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone.
My wife is a Harry Potter fan and it’s been passed on to our kids. Another generation of soundtrack lovers. _________________ "You have great powers, only some of which you have as yet discovered." |

I believe mine was for Hamilton. I am not much for musicals, but watching this after an interview with the cast and creators, I watched it again and noticed the musicality and staging of it and was very impressed.
Plus, Mrs. Finn loves the soundtrack and dances around the house when it plays. _________________ http://www.rhythmhealer.com |

Saturday Night Fever (The Original Movie Soundtrack Deluxe Edition)
Okay, you can mock me! Being raised in the disco era I have a weakness for dance music I rewatched the movie a few months ago and I had SNF music stuck in my head. This week I just found 2CD deluxe album at the sale and grabbed it without hesitation.
... and btw:
1. as wiki says: "The album has been added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT"
2. iconic scene with John Travolta's solo dance is absolutely fabulous ... you should be dancing, yeah ... |

LOL martino - no worries, I have much stranger in my collection, I promise.
Just ordered thanks to VS's holiday sale:
John Williams - The Cowboys (Deluxe Ed)
John Williams - Stanley & Iris (Deluxe Ed)
Georges Delerue - Complete London Sessions
This is my first-ever GD title, and in truth I wouldn't have ordered except that it was on sale, but I've liked what I've heard of it here on SST. Then the two JWs are me trying to fill out my collection a little better.

oh, I actually bought a soundtrack this weekend as well, I just remembered It is the one from Divinity Original Sin 2. The performance at the game music festival in Wroclaw was so great, that I bought it because of that. And I still think, the live performance is even better than the original recording, something I rarely do actually

Been waiting on this one for a while, and La-La Land is finally releasing it as one of their last titles for 2020.
Ordered yesterday at launch!

I got a lot for Sinterklaas!
All sealed! I got three books too, but those were all used. (which is good for the environment, I suppose ) Edit: Never mind, turns out two of them were new too.

I found out about this album some months ago, and got the limited edition (second hand, but in great condition).
I'll try to make a request topic for it, as I think others here might like it too! |

I just picked up the World of Warcraft Shadowlands soundtrack. They just keep getting better at it. Although, Cataclysm was not the best and Wrath of the Lich King is still my favorite. _________________ http://www.rhythmhealer.com |
