I'm very impressed with this album and I think it would fit on SST. It is not the soundtrack to anything, but was inspired by a comic book series / graphic novel. There are other albums on SST that are not soundtracks, most similarly Return To The Centre Of The Earth.
Tracks 3, 4 and 7 are instrumental, the rest have lead vocals. Tracks 1 and 6 also have a bit of narration. I have a limited edition which includes a second cd with all lead vocals and narration removed (it says it's instrumental, but it still has choir), but personally I find the narration and vocals pretty integral to the tracks, and probably wouldn't often go for the instrumental versions.

I am a huge Nightwish fan and love all their work. Tuomas took his imagination and ran with it on this album. Atmospheric and steeped in story, this album would do well here I would think. It does, as 607 says, fit into the paradigm of SST and would introduce more listeners to the genius of Tuomas Holopainen

Big Nightwish fan here, too! Ashamed to say I haven't actually listened to this album as I was hoping to be able to track down the comic book first. But definitely in favour of adding this.

Hey, turns out there is a third/second album inspired by a literary work and unused in any film that's on SST! http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Album&asin=B07D9TW8SN That increases my hopes of this being added... I could probably donate a copy, if JERIC wants it (depends on if I can find it for sale in the USA, because of sending fees).
