Like to play shoot em up games? Go buy ut2k4 :-)
The game is kick ass and the music is really awesome again. You dont have to rip it: it is in ogg-format in the game directory. So when I am not playing ut2k4 or not listening to the stream ((happens rarely) I just listen to the ogg-files.
This is the first game I played that I dont have to rip the music-files. I hope more games will do that. |

Good news for me. I was already going to get it for the fun and for the music. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Yea it's fun, but I quickly get bored of games like this, atleast singleplayer cause so much depend on the bots in the team games like domination, and most of the time the bots suck
More and more games seem to come with ogg music, Far Cry and Uru are just two that I have.
both of thoose have layer music though I think, so one ogg file for percussion one for other things etc.
If you want something that's visually stunning play Far Cry, It's incredible and I think both HL2 and Doom3 will have trouble beating it's graphics... Only one problem though, the main characther can make a stone look charming, the voiceacting is... well... worthless. |

I admit... I'm a singleplayer freak... Don't like FPS online that much, I always get owned to much
That's why I prefer story based games, but I know Ut2004 is like 95% multiplayer |

Download the demo
If you don't like, well, don't buy
But the new stuff, like onslaught, is great. |

I hate reading manuals. So it took me a while to find the F11 key. That contains a mediaplayer, in which you can make your own playlist from ogg and mp3 files. Awesome, me favourite tune to frag people is Noir's Salva Nos. But MI:2 Bare Island, Gladiator's The Battle or LotR's Bridge of Kazadhum are great too :-)
Talking about onslaught? that game type sucks IMHO, it is a poor rip of from the game Tribes 2. |

I'm playing UT since 2000 - started with UT99 over UT2k3 till UT2k4 .
I love this game and I love the music from all UT (not all single tracks but many of it).
Above all utmenu23.umx, Foregone.umx or KR-UT2003-Menu.ogg have a kind of unforgettable impressions =). Always when I listen these music, I reminisce about my UT99 or UT2k3 time ^^. Simply great ...
Some words to ONS: it isn't really my fav mod, but with the right team it is funny to play ... |

I've been eyeballing this in my wishlist for some time now. I watched to go from $40 to $35 to $30 to now $20 all in 3 days. So I bought it. I don't think this $20 thing is going to last long. Amazon tends to change their pricing a lot, especially with video games. Anyway I will post the soundtrack ASAP.

UT04 is good times but it's not really worth it unless you get into the multi-player. It's a little quick paced for me, personally I like the pace of a game like Halo much better. Anybody with me on this one |

I agree with you.
I'm much more for actual "shoot-outs" such as in Halo and Goldeneye, than the "BANG you're dead" one hit kill games like Unreal Tournament. It's just a lot more satisfying beating someone when it takes more than just one hit of a button to beat your opponent (sniper rifles being the exception). |

I like UT because it's a game where I don't have to think much. I think all day at work, on SST and side jobs. But, I like all kinds of games like Rogue Spear, WarCraft III, Total Annihilation and even Alchemy. When I get a chance to play them they are a great way to relieve stress. UT seems to be the most effective at that. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
