It is simple, just type what you think is the worst sequel and the worst prequel of all time.
As for me, worst sequel ( thatI have ever seen anyway) has got to be Alien Ressurection.
Worst prequel I have ever seen is Star Wars episode 2 Attack of the Clones. |

Ok, in my opinion the worst sequel ever made is Highlander 2: The Quickening. It wasn't just a bad sequel, it was an elaborate, filmed insult to the first movie.
Worst prequel? I have no opinion on that one. |

Yeah same here too Hurr78. When i saw Highlander 2, i think may heart fell out. I wanted money back. That screwed up the rest of any story line from that point.

Sequel: Back To The Future 2 (sorry, it just plain sucks)
Prequel: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
I recently bought Temple of Doom as part of the three pack IJ DVD set and set out to watch it again (for the first time since the film had come out in 1984). Although it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered it being, I was immediately reminded of just how disappointing a prequel/sequel it was.
I mean, after the brilliance that was Raiders of the Lost Ark, I know it must have been hard to maintain that level of humour, action and suspense; however, Temple of Doom failed to push any of the same buttons as the original did (in fact, I believe I only saw it once in the theatres).
During my second viewing, I somewhat surprisingly realized that it wasn't the (albeit annoying) Short Round character who ruined the film...it was the atrocious Kate Capshaw and her over-the-top histrionics that kept dragging the film down.
I guess on the plus side, Steven got a wife out of the whole thing |

Well I agree that it wasn't as good as Raiders, Juan... but weren't the Star Wars prequels at least as much of a disappointment as the Temple of Doom? |

Hurr, the Star Wars prequels are on a whole other level of bad that I fear they have ripped a hole in the fabric of the good/bad film matrix. They are a black hole of suckiness.
Consequently, I try to pretend that they don't exist |

Couldn't have put that better, and I feel same way about the Matrix sequels.. |

I thought a prequel was a film released depicting older events because a film depicting later events was successful...
Anyway.. my prequel is just unimaginative and unoriginal: Phantom Menace
Sequels: Loads of those naff sequels to big hit comedy films like Aeroplane 2 or the Naked Gun sequels or any of the awful Police Academy films. Ghastly! |

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first film and is set in 1936. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is the second film, but depicts events in 1935. Source: Indiana Jones timeline (scroll down!) |
