Not technically a score/soundtrack, but close. I've owned it and enjoyed it for years. What does everybody think?

I can't afford a new copy at the moment, but I'd be happy to get one of the used copies sent your way (or the cost of said copy) if that's acceptable.

I would vote no on this one. I have it, and it's okay but definitely a George Winston interpretation of Vince Guaraldi's work. In my opinion, Vince Guaraldi compositions sound best when Guaraldi is playing them.
Vince Guaraldi music performed by Guaraldi is widely available, and would make better sense for this site anyway (since it doesn't do "music inspired by" or "music re-interpreted by" types).
Here are the ones I'd recommend for this site:
This I believe was the first release of music from the Peanuts cartoons.
This is actually a follow-up release of Peanuts music by Vince Guaraldi, who doubles on electric clavichord (overdubbed). I don't think this music was actually used in the CBS specials though.
(SST already has this one) |

I expected I might hear opinions like that, which is why I asked. Thanks for the alternative suggestions.

I agree - George Winston, although a talented musician, makes everything so sleepy. Prefer the originals. _________________ "insert your own clever quote here.... I'm too lazy to do it." |
