Following a discussion on the chat, it would be interesting to know who plays what instrument, who composes... edited w/ schroddie's permission to add - who sings as well (and what part)

I personally play the cello, as some of you know already. I love to sing also... (mezzo soprano/soprano?)

My primary instrument is the clarinet. As a middle school band/orchestra teacher, I kinda have to know how to play them all. I can't compose to save my life, but I do arrange music.

I play the piano and I sing baritone. I do write music, too, but I mostly like to just improv.

I used to play the trumpet and various types of percussion. It's been many years, though.

Let's see...

~~ I play clarinet and piano/keyboards

~~ I play in a R&B band now (for the past year and a half) but have played private competitions and in the pit symphony in junior high and high school.

~~ I can read/write music... although I haven't written anything of my own, I have and am transcribing for the R&B band I play with.

~~ I sing background vocals in the band... but it sounds like caterwauling
Shocked

I played the piano Smile

I sing in choir since Elementary school - at the present time I'm singing in amateurish chamber choir - alto/second alto (sometimes tenor Wink )

I play piano and played clarinet.

I have sung ever since grade school as well. I was a soprano until after college when I stopped practicing. Now I am definitely in the alto section.

wow! so many ppl play piano and clarinet.

You can add me to the list! I like playing the piano better. (haven't touched my clarinet for hmm.. nearly 2 years now)

I was one of the "muso's" in high school. ah. those were the days. Got to go to NZ with the band, now that was fun!
Sang in the choirs all through school too.

(sorry for the autobiography)

Playing the piano and a bit of percussion, bass and harp, singing in a choir (bass). I write music for a living.

I do a lot of pretty wacky electronic music performance stuff using self-built devices like data gloves or teddy bears filled with stretch and bending sensor systems transmitting data via radio to a computer where electronic sounds get created. Basically, I'm able to create and form sound cuddling that fuzzy little thing, bending his arms and twisting his legs and all. It may look stupid and sound even worse, but I guess you can call that an instrument too.

I used to play harmonica.
I sing mezzo soprano and consider Mozart a sadistic bastard who had something against mezzos and loved to make them sing higher than sopranos.
