Who else is excited? I know I am! The teaser trailer just came out. I think the movie is either going to be very good or very bad, I hope it turns out great!

Hmmm... Seemingly moved from England to the US, and from the late 19th Centuary to the early 21st... I hate it when Hollywood does this... |

Looks Awesome! Together with King Kong on the top of my 2005 movie list.
Very curious what john Williams is going to do with it. |

we've come a long way since Gregory Peck and the flying silver wedgies shooting green plasma! Very cool!
Doodle... judging by the make of cars in the trailer I think it's set in the fifties _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

But the weird thing is if you look at the old 50s cars there is a modern cop car in there. Also they showed modern highways and stuff. I'm pretty sure its set in modern times. _________________ Stargate SG1

I finally saw War of the Worlds last night. I'm impressed with the score/action syncapation. Although I was a bit upset that there wasn't an tribute of some sort to the 1953 version.
btw, did anyone notice that the Dock Worker was played by David Harbour? _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

While the acting was sub-par, I thought the FX made-up for it in spades. |
