Why don't we have a theme each day? It would make things interesting. For instince, on 2/17/06 we'll make a superhero theme for songs to be requested. What do you guys think? |

While I really like your idea, iro_007, SST can no longer have site-sanctioned official theme days. Nor can SST feature a composer or birthdays.
However, if you and others in chat want to do this impromptu on your own, go ahead. It's amazing what you can come up with for queue requests based on a theme or person or whatever. It's fun searching thru the SST library for just the right tracks. |

oh, well that is what I meant. Something that us users can get together and do. I did not mean that the website should do it . |

I like your idea. Builds camaraderie and creativity and gets ppl looking thru the SST library. Just as long as it isn't overdone. Some SSTers/Listeners may not want to participate and we want everyone to enjoy the queue.
Thanks, Iro! |

I checked with Jeric to get some clarity on SST's official policy regarding Theme Days:
He says "Theme days are fine. The community can request anything they want to that the playlist rules will allow them to... I'm all for people getting together and creating their own days. The only problem I could see is 'long track day'." |

AAaah, we discussed the 'long track day' on the chat already, in opposition to the 'short track day'
Well, that'd have been a bad idea anyway
I find the idea rather cool, and we had a non official 'angel day' yesterday _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

Wow! Does that mean that the schedules are all out of the window....? What a shame.
Having said that, impromptu theme days could be cool. You could have tracks based on aliens, romance, superheroes, vehicles, chase scenes, disasters... the list is endless!
I don't suppose there is any easy way of adding a feature to search for words in individual tracks on albums is there? So, if I wanted to look up the word 'battle' it would bring up all the tracks with that word from any soundtrack. It would sure make a listener induced "theme day" a lot easier! |

The search allows you to do a search by Title. I think this will accomplish what you want.

This is one of the COOLEST features on SST! That's how people are able to find a custom-fit track to dedicate to a certain person or event. |

I only joined SST in 2003, you can't expect me to know about that easy and very obvious search.....
Honestly, if I had half a brain I'd be dangerous...
Thanks for your patient reply, two! |

I love the search features on here. You can find practically anything you're looking for. It was really helpful on Valentine's Day. Just typed in Love and selected Title. Wow - the possiblities! JERIC you run an awesome website!
