I could probably think of a few more for the bonfire, but I would rather try to keep it positive.
But, I reserve the right to add to my "burn-em" list as I hear stuff too! |
I'm not feeling very positive about Labrynth. It's pretty intolerable to me. Bonfire city baby! |

Does the wink mean that you hate 'em and you're kidding, or does the wink mean that you love them and you're serious? Maybe it's one of those "you have to see the movie to appreciate it" things, but I've never heard anything on that I can stand. Sorry Asriana Don't hate me, but I'm stickin' to my guns.
Burn baby burn!
Wait, your SW collection? Like action figures? Do you have an AT-AT? |

It only took me 15 days to see this I love Anastasia & Labyrinth. I personally own both of them. And as for my SW collection - I meant all the music _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |

To keep on a desert island:
Henry V
Black Stallion Returns
Angels in America
Passion: Music for the Last Temptation of Christ
Spartacus
I wanted to include Dune extended by Toto, LOTR Fellowship Complete, Empire Strikes Back, E.T., Blade Runner, Legends of the Fall, Children of Dune, Mission, Portrait of a Lady, Road to Perdition, Agnes of God, The Film Music of Jerry Goldsmith where he conducts the London Symphony, A River Runs Through It, etc. but there wasn't enough room!
To burn:
There's a couple scores I don't care for, but not enough to use as fuel. |

Keep:
1. Lost - Michael Giacchino (Deserted on an island, huh?)
2. Orchestral Game Concert 2 - Keiichi Suzuki, Motoyo Oka, Akiko Hashimoto, Yoko Kanno, Koichi Sugiyama, Kentarou Haneda, Chiyoko Matsumata, Nobuo Uematsu (Compilation - that cheating?)
3. Shenmue Orchestra - Toshiyuki Watanabe, Ryuji Iuchi, Tadahiro Nitta, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Tsuyoshi Yanagawa & Hayato Matsuo (Fantastic Music)
4. Dragon Quest Live: Best Selection - Koichi Sugiyama
5. Final Fantasy VIII: Fithos Lusec Wicos Vinosec - Nobuo Uematsu, Shiro Hamaguchi
Burn:
1. Music Inspired by Final Fantasy - Feat. Music by Nobuo Uematsu (Created by 3rd party, misleading packaging implies orchestral Performance - music synthesized poorly)
2. The Fifth Element - Eric Serra (A handful of great music, and a ton of junk)
3. War of the Worlds - John Williams (Just didn't like it ...)
4. Die Another Day - David Arnold (Eh.)
5. Biohazard [Resident Evil]: Best Track Collection - Ichiro Kohmoto, Shusaku Uchiyama, Misao Senbongi, Makoto Tomozawa, Masami Ueda, Shun Nishigaki, Saori Maeda, Takeshi Miura, Hijiri Anze & Sanae Kasahara (I like Resident Evil, but the game's soundtracks are 90% uninteresting with "Outbreak" by Akihiko Matsumoto being the sole exception)
That second half of that was tough! I love most of my CD's |

Whoa, where can I get one of these? And no, you're not cheating
About Die Another Day, that should the first one I'd burn. I haven't really found another CD to burn . . . maybe Pirates of the Caribbean - The Black Pearl. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT! I didn't like it. Too Gladiator, too electronic, too repetitive, too annoying. I hope DEAD MAN'S CHEST is better. By what I've heard, it is. Hand it to Zimmer to save the trilogy.

Raptor, you have the complete FF collection? There's a Japanese collection for sale on eBay every once in a while. It appears to be bootleg. I got the complete Metal Gear Solid collection. I'm happy with it. _________________ "I'm Batman"

Kiddo, even though I know collectors buy the anime and game bootlegs, I don't think it's a good idea to mention them here. Reflects poorly on the site. |

This is hard because you really have to dump what you play maybe one time in an entire year.
I'd keep:
1.) Jurassic Park - John Williams
2.) The Land Before Time - James Horner
3.) Watership Down - Angela Morley
4.) Spirited Away - Joe Hisaishi
5.) Wicked - Stephen Schwartz
Feed the wolves with:
1.) Madagascar (just ok)
2.) Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (ugh..Bryan Adams...what a waste of money)
Can't bring myself to hate any others enough to throw them away. :p |

Regarding Final Fantasy and other Imported Bootlegs:
From what I read, these are manufactured by seemingly legit companies, and are 90% identical to the original with the one exception being of course that the composers don't get the royalties they deserve. Usually these bootlegs are purchased unintentially because they are not advertised as bootlegs and are far cheaper than the usual overpriced imported versions.
Buying game music is just a completely different situation than film music. Most of the good stuff isn't sold in American stores at all. It's not easy and usually your lucky to get your hands on a the music at all.
Regarding Orchestral Game Concert 2:
Obviously extremely difficult to find, and if you do find it, extremely difficult to afford. This gem isn't easy to get one's hands on ... save your cash and keep a close eye on eBay! |
