Dear Jeric,
I noticed today the apearance of anoying advertisement pop ups.
Is this normal?
Pop ups are already quite a nuisance when surfing around... If they start apearing here as well...
The other new features you put around are great otherwise, I especially like the fact that a new window opens when you rate an album by clicking on the cover.
Keep up the good work!
Regards,

A few pop-ups are ok, but yes, there certainly were quite a few annoying ones today. |

Actually I think what I hate most is that some times.. when I've had the window open a longer time.. that one of the ads will have completely replaced the Queue! .... luckily you can click queue and it returns.. but that too is bizarre.. (damned popups!)
There is a setting in IE that stops them, but I think it was something that also effected most of the normal ActiveX stuff too.
If I find the link I'll post it here.. _________________ -T2 |

Those pop-ups were embedded into the banner rotation code provided by AudioRealm. I have no control over which ads are being rotated. If this continues to be a problem I will totally remove the code. Thanks for your understanding. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Take the proactive stance! Download PopUp Killer FREE and it should get rid of those annoying popups for you. And this should work for any other websites you visit! Just go here:

Hope this helps... |

Found the Microsoft Article that talks about scripted pop-ups
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q308446
they say you "can" disable... and in some versions I know there is the option to put a site in the "restricted zone" ... and I think you can disable active scripting all together..
be fore warned.. I hear doing this means some of the other features you like .. ie maybe the top display of song titles, and the queue refresh.. these may also be effected.. _________________ -T2 |
