I would sum up my VGM favs, without order:

Final Fantasy series by Nobuo Uematsu - Great touchy melodies even for nonplayers.

Medal of Honor by Michael Giacchino - Faithful orchestral music will catch your ears and make you feel the war.

Hitman II by Jesper Kyd ; Impressive mix of live orchestra and electronic.

Chrono Cross by Yasunori Mitsuda - Relaxing and easy music for better mood.

Heroes of Might and Magic series by Rob King and Paul Romero - Opera singers in VGM became reality and It worked! The atmosphere of fantasy kingdoms was brought up to the skies.

Also like classics like Age of Empires series, the Neverhood, Shenmue and Baldur’s Gate.

And some generally unknown music, just because I played it. Jazz the Jackrabbit, Rayman 2, Heart of Darkness and Pharaoh.
